Central Park

The Annual Fall Run is in its 31^st  season. For

beginners to the sport of running, it’s a good first

contest. The fast, flat downtown course is a

runner’s favorite. Although the weather may vary,

participants usually can expect a pleasant autumn

morning in which to run.

COURSE

The course is flat with long straightaways through

downtown Ashland. Runners start and finish at Park

Place, 1701 Central Ave. The course is well marked,

with an aid station at the two-mile mark. A

computerized finish line will provide race results.

REGISTRATION

Entry fee is $20 prior to Saturday, Sept. 18.

$25 on race day. The first 100 runners who

register will receive a long-sleeved, 100% cotton

T-shirt. To register in advance, complete and return

the registration card at right. Pre-registration must

be received by 6 p.m., Sept. 17, 2010. Race

packets may be picked up Friday, Sept. 17, at

the YMCA (3232 Old 13th St.) before 7 p.m.

Registration on race day will be at Park Place

(across from Boyd Co. Library) from 7–7:45 a.m.

AWARDS

Trophies are awarded to the overall top two male

and female participants, as well as the top three

participants in each division (no duplication of

awards). Awards will be presented following the

race. Fruit and beverages will be available.

Race is sponsored by the Ashland Area YMCA,

King’s Daughters Medical Center and Papa Johns.
